A week that opens new paths
First published on 21 March 2026, this account refers to the classes and reflections of that time. “This week”, the new course and the intention to write weekly belong to that context.

Some weeks are measured not by what we do, but by what they awaken within us.
This has been one of those weeks.
Walking into the studio these past few days, there was something different in the air. It was not just the beginning of a new course. It was something else… as though the body knew before the mind that something was changing.
For a long time, a quiet question has lived within me: how to help my students not only learn steps, but truly touch everything that lives within flamenco. The fan, the shawl, the hat, the castanets… not as something distant, but as something close, possible, their own.
And this week, that has begun to open up.
Little by little. Without imposing. Without forcing. An entrance with a fan. A sung verse danced with a shawl. A moment with a hat. A small passage in which the hands begin to speak in another way.
It is not the whole dance. It does not need to be.
Sometimes, one carefully placed detail opens a whole doorway.
And as they discovered those small worlds, something stirred within me too. Old memories, almost forgotten, returning without warning. My earliest lessons. My first encounters with these very same elements. The feeling of not understanding… and, little by little, beginning to feel.
In the middle of class, without a word being spoken, all of that was there.
It has been a truly beautiful week. One of those that make no noise, yet leave a mark.
We have worked on very different palos—Taranto, Alegrías de Córdoba, Soleá, Seguirilla, Tientos—each with its own character, weight, and way of breathing. But beyond the content, what has mattered most is the path beginning to take shape.
A path where learning does not stop at the form, but begins to touch what lies behind it.
A small need has also emerged: to share. That is why some moments from these classes are already out in the world, publicly available on YouTube. Like a simple window for anyone who wishes to look in.
And for anyone who wishes to stay a little longer, to go a little further inside, the full classes are on the members’ channel. That is where everything breathes without cuts.
From now on, each week will be gathered here, in this little corner. Not as a record of what was done, but as a memory of what was lived.
Because, in the end, teaching is not only about showing. It is about accompanying a process that also transforms you within.
And this week… something has begun.
