Behind the Scenes
For the production of a Nippon Life (日本生命) commercial, Beni was invited to contribute to the staging of the bull-leaping scene and took part in the shoot.
He devised choreography to make the mantón, a Spanish shawl, look more vibrant and beautiful in the scene, and also offered advice on Spanish culture in relation to bull-leaping.
The work took place over two days: one for rehearsal and one for filming. Responding carefully to each of the director’s requests, Beni explained both the choreography and the meaning of the bull-leaping movements, gradually helping the scene take shape.
During filming, Beni guided actress Haruka Ayase directly through the movements agreed upon in rehearsal. In a relaxed atmosphere, with moments of laughter, the excellent teamwork of the director, Beni and the entire crew brought a memorable scene to life.
