11th Beginner Master Open Class: The Second Sevillana
— ◆ —
Our 11th Beginner Master Open Class Has Concluded
Our beginner Master Open Class reached its 11th edition. We continued studying sevillanas, a traditional Spanish dance, building on the previous class. Before the session, students shared their questions and concerns about their dancing. Teacher Beni answered them while teaching the second sevillana in detail.
Although we had learned and danced this choreography before, practising it while listening to Beni’s explanations helped us notice many details afresh.
Beni offered this advice: “Sevillanas contain many of the fundamentals of dance. To support your future dancing, take the time to learn how to use your body correctly and move your arms.” He also shared points to focus on when practising at home, and we hope everyone will put them into practice.
Participants included former students of the studio and family members attending together, including a mother and daughter. Once again, the class had a warm, enjoyable atmosphere, and the 90 minutes flew by.
Thank you very much to everyone who took part.
