Karuizawa: Private Performance Announcement | May 2026
The announcement presented a proposal to bring Spanish music, flamenco and Japan’s beautiful natural surroundings together for a special occasion.

According to the announcement published on April 24, 2026, Benito García was scheduled to perform on May 11, 2026, at a private event in an unnamed hotel in Karuizawa.
The planned performance was conceived as a special presentation incorporating the hotel’s elegant setting, lounge, garden and views of the lake.
The musical concept would begin with an atmosphere inspired by Spanish classical music, using works such as Albéniz’s “Asturias” as a reference, before gradually leading into the world of flamenco. This reference described the intended atmosphere and did not confirm the piece as part of the repertoire.
To convey the appeal of Spanish dance and flamenco, the announcement envisaged incorporating
・Castanets, also known as palillos in flamenco
・Mantón, a traditional Spanish shawl
・Zapateado, rhythmic footwork
・Flamenco dance
among other elements of the planned performance.
The event was announced as private, with no access for the general public.
For BG Flamenco Academy and AL ANDALUS Agency Flamenca, the proposal was presented as a valuable opportunity to bring Spanish art to a special setting in Japan.
The announcement expressed BG Flamenco’s commitment to continuing to offer memorable flamenco experiences tailored to the venue, guests and purpose of each occasion.
