Festival in Akabane: A Flamenco Recap from BG Academy
The Festival in Akabane Took Place!
On Sunday, a wonderful flamenco event took place in front of Akabane Station.
We first rehearsed at the studio, then headed to the event venue. More and more people gathered as time went on. We opened the performance with sevillanas and fandango, then introduced BG Academy and the accessories used in flamenco. When Beni demonstrated castanets and a fan, the audience broke into applause! In the second half, we danced garrotín and brought the event to a close with another round of sevillanas. It was a day of enjoying dance and music together with everyone at the venue!
After the event, members of the audience approached us and said, “Please give me a brochure for the studio!” We were delighted. We hope events like this spark an interest in flamenco.
